UofT Drama Festival 2019

Feb. 7-9, 2019

Hart House Theatre

Feb. 7-9, 2019

A Weekend of Competitive Theatre

Student written, directed, produced and performed

NO LATECOMERS - It is a rule of the Festival that latecomers will not be admitted until the intermission between the one-act plays.

Original one act plays compete for five coveted awards over the three nights of this annual adjudicated festival.

The UofT Drama Festival has spawned numerous performers who have gone on to become stars of stage and screen: Ted Follows, David Gardner, Don Harron, Arthur Hiller, William Hutt and Donald Sutherland – to name a few.

83 years since its 1936 inception, and 26 years since Trevor Rines resurrected it in 1993, the UofT Drama Festival continues to be a high profile showcase for up-and-coming theatrical talent as well as an accessible avenue for UofT students to perform and direct on the historic Hart House Theatre stage.

This year also marks the 17th Drama Festival of only accepting original student written plays, serving as a much needed showcase for talented UofT playwrights.

Adjudicator - Autumn Smith
